How to Get Started

1. Questionnaire:
Getting started is simple. However, we need some help from you.

We strongly believe that planning is the best place to start. To do so, please fill out the Comprehensive Planning Questionnaire . This will enable us to identify your specific needs, and get an assessment of your existing plan to prepare for our initial meeting. With this information we will learn about you and your goals and decide how we will be able to help you achieve them. We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your completed forms.

If you believe you are properly prepared and/or do not need our planning services, please complete our Risk Tolerance Analysis for our investment advisory services.

2. Initial Meeting:
After initial contact, a meeting will be set up to discuss your investment or planning needs in greater detail.

Please bring the documents listed below to the first meeting so we can get an accurate and complete picture of your financial position and we will be better prepared to determine your long-term goals. Ascension will help you assess your time horizon, attitude toward risk, tax considerations, and other elements which combine to form your unique profile. From the information obtained in this meeting, we will develop a customized, well-diversified strategic approach that fits your parameters for achieving your goals and objectives.

Banking and brokerage statements

Checking, savings, money market, education savings accounts and brokerage accounts.

Retirement asset statements:

Statements of all your retirement plans, including individual retirement plans, pensions, 401(k), 403(b) and profit-sharing plans, showing current balances and investments.

Debt statements

For your mortgage or home equity loans, credit cards, auto loans, student loans, etc.

Other financial documents

If you have life insurance, an annuity, a trust fund, or any other similar financial assets bring documents on those as well.

3. Follow-Up:
Ascension’s most important responsibility is to help you stay on track with your goals and recognize how changes in your life or in the market impact your target. Upon becoming a client, we continue to stay in touch with you through quarterly or semi-annual reports and meetings, weekly market commentaries and of course, remaining accessible to your calls or requests.  This will enable us to stay attuned to any changes in your life that may affect your investment decisions and portfolio.
